A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing a little fashion feature on a store that I frequent in LA called, ‘Beckley’. They have some amazing pieces and I ended up picking up a few things. Being a big fan of the black and white trend along with a street/sporty style, I thought I would share one of my favorite looks with you. :)

Just a few months ago, I was applying for a temporary job that I didn’t really want. I only considered it just because I really need to save up so I can have a little allowance for a huge workshop I’ll be having this summer. When I got home, I checked my email and tadaaaa! I found an interesting online writing site which literally saved my life and so I had to ditch the other one. Well, not really. I informed them that I was no longer interested to continue my application process so there, no hard feelings.

Without any hesitation, I applied to this online writing site. While some may think that sites like this might only be a scam, well, this one isn’t. It was featured on ABS-CBN’s Bandila!

After a few days, I submitted a sample article and then waited until they’ve reviewed my application. While waiting, I wandered around the forums on the site to educate myself on how things work. It’s quite easy, actually. And oh, this site has lots of members and when I say lots, I mean thousands.

As soon as they’ve processed my application and assigned me on a team, I was so excited and I started claiming some assignments. So far, so… I’m not going to say good, rather, I’ll say great because it is. You know what makes this online writing job great? Here are a few things. First, you can claim and write about any assignment or topic that you want at any time. Once you’ve submitted, your editor will review your article and give you corresponding points. Your point is basically your salary. Easy, right? They would even give some comments so you can improve on your skills. Second, you can interact with your fellow writers. You can ask them anything, like if you need some help or advice regarding an assignment or if you just want to relax and have some fun. Third, the fun and learning when it comes to writing just never stops.

I may not be a great writer, but this writing job makes me want to do better in every assignment that I write. Add those thousands of very inspiring quotes you get to read every day. It’s just so wonderful! The people, even though I don’t see them face to face, are very welcoming and friendly. Besides, I already got my first hard-earned salary which is pretty cool. I really just can’t put everything in it into words. I’m just glad I took the step.

Being a writer is not really that easy. I have to admit, I am still experiencing having those times when you have to deal with revisions, but as a writer, I can’t really take that away because it’s part of the learning process.

I signed to do have this online writing job for only three months, but you know what? I think I’m going to do this for a long time, whenever I get to have some free time. Also, it’s a kind of writing that’s challenging which pushes me to be creative and I really need some creativity in my life. Right now, I think I’m really destined to become a writer for life. Actually, no, I don’t think so. I know. That’s for sure! :)
